What To Expect In Each Session

Phase 1: Movement

Our classes begin with  high energy activating body movement. This enlivens the energy in the body and "wakes up" the flow of energy.

Phase 2: Qi Gong & Yoga

We move into a qi gong infused yoga practice where we begin to cultivate an energetic and visceral connection to the mind/body/heart.

Phase 3: Breathwork

Lastly, we weave in a breathwork meditation, with varying patterns of rhythmic breathing  and breath holds, which aid in facilitating a state of heart coherence, where the nervous system starts to shift from fight/ flight to rest / digest, thereby promoting the  integration of wholeness and wellness for  the mind/body/heart connection.

Bioenergitics

Bioenergetics is a term used to describe the biological functions of the body and the electrical energy the body produces and uses to fuel the body and mind.

We can optimize that energy to feed the biological systems and facilitate and upgrade the functions of the body-mind-heart.

Our cells run on energy, and using techniques such as conscious breathing and conscious movement and coordination of those two energetic systems, can bring the body into a greater state of health and well- being.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong is an ancient mind-body practice originating in China. Qi means "vital energy", or life force, and Gong translates to "skill cultivated through steady practice".

Through simple postures, deep breathing, and intention setting, qi gong offers an array of benefits for the mind-body-spirit.

Increased vitality, healthy blood pressure, relief from anxiety and depression, a stronger immune system, and a deep inner peace can be experienced with consistent practice.

Yoga, translated, means Union. Union with the mind and body are the focus of yoga asana practice.

Yoga creates flexibility in not just the body, but also the mind. The benefits of yoga practice are many.

Increased flexibility, increased strength, increased concentration and mental focus are just several.

Through the coordination of mindful breathing and movement, yoga can bring the mind-body-spirit into health and vibrancy.
